Gilmour's name is no longer Free

It seems that playing a Hiwatt is no longer enough to use your image incessantly without your permission. It seems that the DG series and references to David Gilmour are no longer emblazened on the MG Hiwatt website. DG's legal team must have been busy. Good for him.

Re: Roger Daltrey Wants to Sing the Blues With Jimmy Page

I always figured Pete lost the majority of his hearing from the dynamite explosion on the Smothers Brothers show. As a result, he had to turn up louder and louder, hence the 120+dB reading at FOH during that famed '77 show. Just trying to get my lore right.

Re: 4123 enough to handle DR103?

Get yourself a Big Muff or a Fuzz Face and you'll be pleased with your SC's. Congrats on your score, I have one too thanks to Dave, except mine is front loaded.

Would it be "safe" to have a single 12" speaker with 100W of power behind it? Even 50W seems too much power.

Re: THE WHO AT THE SUPER BOWL

Sad. I loved the Who, ci. Keith Moon & Entwhistle. With them gone it's no longer the Who. It's not as bad as Creedence Clearwater Revisited, but they should either hang it up or go all acoustic (which of course would not go with the SB). It was strange to see Pete with a Fender guitar and 4 stac...

Re: Monster Cable Warning

The funniest part of the whole "Monster" debacle is Monster Park in SF (formerly Candlestick). For years I thought it was branded after monster.com not Monster Cable! I think most people think it's monster.com as well. Seriously if you're not an audio geek who knows Monster Cable? Everyone...

I've been making those cables for some pro friends of mine and they swear by them now. For my clients that's all I use.

Re: CRESCENDO'S on the BAY

With Christmas coming and a couple of other investments, it got a little too high for me. I do hate the "as is" thing though. Maybe next time.
