Fane Speaker identification?
I'm hoping someone can help me identify this Fane speaker: IMG544.jpg Specifically, I'm hoping to find out its power handling capacity. There is no sticker on the side with watts/gauss/etc. This is what's printed on the speaker: Frame code: 125135 Date code: 4479 Cone code: 276 Rated at 8 ohms (as l...

Re: WTB Fane 122879D for SA112
I'm now running an emminence Lynch V12 in mine. Best I've had in there after repairing the original ATC for the third time. I just got the SA112 up and running. It's loaded with a Mesa Boogie Black Shadow and I'm actually liking the way it sounds. I have no idea how it would compare to the original...

Re: WTB Fane 122879D for SA112
I read in an old Hiwatt catalogue that the SA112 came stock with a Fane 122879D. FWIW, my 1980 SA112 came with a model 122918 Fane. As Dr.Hiwatt aluded to, the amp and large magnet speaker is heavy as heck! Dave Good to know. So much to learn. I don't mind the weight so much. It'll just be living i...

Re: WTB Fane 122879D for SA112
Welcome to the Vintage HIWATT Forum. Congrats for buying a SA112. I have a Fane from a late 1970's SA112 in storage, I'll try to get to it. The Weber Thames is a poor substitute for a HIWATT Fane. I have read the same crap on the web before and those comments are clearly written by those with littl...

WTB Fane 122879D for SA112
Hello, I am new to this forum. I just bought a used SA112 which has a non-original speaker. I am hoping to return the amp to stock. I read in an old Hiwatt catalogue that the SA112 came stock with a Fane 122879D. I believe it's rated at 75w? Does anyone have one they'd be willing to sell me? Or does...
