Damn man, crazy rig.
Rather then starting a new thread...
There's a 76' SE4123 unloaded and kind of beat in my area...
Was thinking of getting it and putting some speakers in it as a project depending on how much he wants for it... do you think it would work well with bass speakers?

Re: SE2150
Well that's what I was asking, because I've seen photo's of people using just a DR201 and a single SE2150 before and was like "isn't that taking a huge risk...?" and Hiwatt seemed to kind of promote that as "the bass rig" as well as that 412 reflex cab. I figured, just was double...

Re: SE2150
the DR201 would over power it wouldn't it? That's why the DR201 output jacks were wired so that a minimum of 2 cabinets were required. Of course, many of us bypass that by sticking a dummy 1/4" plug into the second set of jacks. Dave I do that now... that would work even with the head being 20...

Re: SE2150
seems like I got a line on a 72' that is in great shape and the original fanes I may outright buy or trade my 72' Sound City L-120 Mark IV for. I have a question... the DR201's and the SE2150's were marked as "Hiwatt Bass gear".... the two 15"s Fanes in the SE2150's are 50 watts a pie...

Re: DR201
Alright, here's some outer-pictures of the amp until I can get the chassis out... as I said, the guy who I bought it from was the original and only owner, from the pictures he showed me before it seemed all good. He said absolutely nothing was changed except for the caps and the tubes, the tubes are...

Re: DR201
Yeah, I figured!
Thanks man. I will ask around and get someone to re-wire it for me.

Re: DR201
about the Y cable....
I have an amp splitter in a 1950a pedal enclosure and theres one input, 2 outputs. Before I had an amp selector I used it to run two amps... could this work to hook up the DR201 to two four ohm cabs? I doubt it, just trying to think of things I have to use.

Re: DR201
Another question... is the DR201 actually rated at 200 watts? or less? I'm talking both the KT88 and El34 models. We're in the process of finding that out, and will be measuring some vintage 201s as soon as the Doc has some free time. --mark Awesome! Can't wait! Another question... is the DR201 act...

Re: DR201
Hmm.... well.. would you do it? haha. NO! Hook up the cabs in series and set the amp to 8 ohms. Dave EDIT: Here's a down and dirty sketch of a Series Y harness. You could substitute Male plugs for the Female jacks. Just make sure everything is plugged in before firing up the amp. Series Y-Cable by ...

Re: DR201
Great! yeah, I love mine. Played it a lot in the past few days. I'll take some detailed pictures tonight and post them for you guys. I also have another question... is there a way to make the head 2 ohms? I have two 4 ohm cabs, I do have another head I usually run with the other cab, but if I can ju...

He sold it to me for $1700. I'll post some pictures when I get the time! It has brand new Mullards and was looked at recentl...

Still waiting on some pictures, he's taking them on Monday.
He told me that...
Caps, tubes, tube sockets, output resisters and diodes all with in 20 hours of use. "Winged c" tubes(kinda premium).
