Re: Voice from the past

I don't know how to remove a tag to look at the other side of it without disconnecting some solder joints. Some of those wires are on there tight. Good point. I remember watching some guys trying to do just that and to say they wound up cursing those tight wires would be an understatement. Good luc...

Re: Voice from the past

Cool indeed. But how does one look underneath the pre-amp tag board? I have a DR103 amp that was wired by Harry Joyce Electronics wired during late 73 or early 74, so I'll report back if I can find anything. Sounds to me like this is something anyone could do in his own basement, no? :D Cheers, Mike

Bob,

Yes, long after I posted the reply to Dave I recalled that I should have addressed you, too. Now I'm back at the computer....

Sure thing, I'd love to see you, too! You can keep the chili, though, as yours might be too lumpy....Yuk!

More to come.

Re: 1969 HIWATTs in action with Jethro Tull

Right you are, Dave! "EB3-degrees of separation?" Did you ever find out about the "Aqualung" thing? Didn't get a complete answer on that. Glenn did not lay down the track for the title song, but it sounded as if some others on the album might have used his work. It was...

slightly up as a total, but most of the locals came through for an hour or so then left. Plus the building is so big that any number less than 100 feels empty the internet crowd was much like every year in that the week leading up to the Convention 8-10 bail. Clayton, Dave, et. al., I understand, a...

Re: 1969 HIWATTs in action with Jethro Tull

I might add that Felix in Mountain ... Another 6 degrees of separation thing; Glenn Cornick mentioned they (Wild Turkey) had been doing some concert dates with Leslie West. Said they'd switch off the headliner spot either by venue or rotation, but the two groups and personnel really clicked. Dave R...

Re: Dave....

Dave, Thanks for the quick reply! I readily understand your position. Of course you can do whatever you'd like to do regarding a specific post/thread. Please allow me one coment? Perhaps in the future (at a convention, perhaps?) we can have more open, substantive disussions on such topics? Well-reas...

Re: 1969 HIWATTs in action with Jethro Tull

Of course I only discovered this thread now.... Here's another great Cream fan! Part of the difference has something to do with the different EB3s used: Jack's was a model from the earlier 60s, while Mr. C.'s was a late-60s variation (check out that bridge). The pickups were a bit different, and tha...

Of course I forgot something in my last post: how many folks total attended this year's convention?

Thanks!

Dave....

Just so I know the parameters here, would the "Standby" forum be a more appropriate venue for things deemed off-topic discussions such as some of the recent ones?

Thanks!
