Re: New to me 1972 DR201
Unfortunately? I don't get it :) It's not filled out for me. I'm in the US. I feel the registry should be geared more towards the protection (from theft) rather than a record of what's out there. In order to register a Hiwatt you should have a include a photo of your drivers license next to the seri...

New to me 1972 DR201
I just purchased a '72 DR201. Serial # 2588. I will post pics when I receive it. Has F&T caps replaced, four coupling caps, some bias supply "updates" and an IEC. Looks pretty darn good. It's also not on the registry. I will add it when I receive it. The kicker is that the Serial is on...

Re: SAP Schematics
For example, the SAP made by HI-TONE is different and based on an early 3-digit serial number unit. Thanks. I understand but how much different is it? Like night and day difference or slight difference? They couldn't be too much different or they wouldn't be called the same thing, right? I just wan...

Re: SAP Schematics
I'm too new on here to stir the pot too much. So at this time I won't say. I just wanted to know if anyone has worked off the schematics and what they think of them as far as accuracy. Regardless, I trust them too, and am fully moving forward with the preamp build. I'll let my ears decide whether th...

SAP Schematics
I'm being told that the SAP schematics on Hiwatt.org are not accurate? I sent them off to have a preamp built but am now reading and being told they aren't anything like the 200 watt SAP? Can anyone shed any light on this?
Thanks
Thanks

Photos have to be reduced in size, otherwise the forum's database would get bogged down. Try resampling to 640 x 480 pixels, at 72dpi. That should make it under the threshold.

Wanted Hiwatt/Hi-tone 2x15 Cabinet
Hi, I'm very interested in owning a Hiwatt or Hi-tone 2150 or similar 2x15. I may buy a new HI-tone, but would prefer a used cab. It will be sitting under a 1972 STA-200 and will be gigged and rehearsed regularly. So if you have one that deserves more use please contact me. Thanks Patrick It's for t...

Re: Introduce yourself
Hi I'm Patrick. I always knew Hiwatts were considered one of the best if not thee best. I now get it. I'm the proud owner of a 1972 Hiwatt STA-200. I look to find a nice preamp to pair with it as well as a 215. My bucket list includes a Vintage DR201 and a brand new Hi-Tone SAP200. edit: got it! Tha...
