Couldn't believe the price. It's waaayy too much cab for me, but maybe someone here can convince him to ship it to you.

Re: attenuator or not?
I haven't tried using a good attenuator. One of the reasons I haven't yet it because I know the pots on all my volume controls are jacked, I just haven't had time to replace them yet. So I really don't know the touch that a good volume knob should have yet. Right now my mv has three settings 0, loud...

Re: attenuator or not?
I have a 504 2 holer and I don't use an attenuator I personally think it defeats the purpose of owning a HIWATT. I jumper my inputs, and plug my LP straight in. I put both brill and normal vol to around noon, then I drop my master way down for bedroom levels, I mean way down. The amp is still loud a...

Re: Spitty Mod, do all the 2 input need it ?
I have a 78 2 holer that had the Canadian mod. It was a tad spitty, so I decided to do mHuss's mod to fix the blocking distortion, while it sounded better I still wasn't quite satisfied. So I copied mikhailwatt's mod, and converted my V2 to the early 70's config. My amp now plays amazing, the tone i...

Which valves for my Hylight HIWATT?
Hey All - First off I know this topic has been discussed about many times, I did a search on this site and couldn't really find the threads I remembered reading for some reason. So I think we need to make a sticky out of this topic or one like it. Anyway I was thinking I needed to change all the val...
Re: Reverb!?
I'm definitely leaning more toward an old school style of sound like the Fender, hence the Les Paul straight into the HIWATT, preamp channels jumpered and cranked

Reverb!?
Right now I'm plugging straight into my amp, no effects and it sounds great. I've been thinking about adding some reverb lately tho. What are you guys using? I'm toying with the idea of building one of those Weber Fender reverb kits, has anyone used one before?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I would definitely re-cap your amp, I re-capped my 50 watter and it did make it sound more full.

Re: 1969 CP103
Looks like it is coming along really well Dr. Hiwatt. I thought that looked like a fun project when I saw that amp on the bay. I guess you really are the Dr. bringing back to life sick and endangered HIWATTS
