It seems that this mod is not familiar to those I asked about it. In any event, idc because the amp works great as is. I just might get curious enough someday to find out what this is all about. Also Doc, can you tell me if your DR201 headcase had a thin metal (tin or aluminum or w/e) sheet (some call it a "Faraday shield") nailed or stapled right beneath where the amp chassis is bolted? Mine doesn't have one and I'm wondering if this is something that should be added.

Hi Doc! Since we have rather similar DR201s, can you please tell me what are the values of the 6 inner mounted filter capacitors in our amps? And which brand you recommend should I ever need to replace my old ones?
