1972 DR 103 for sale

Hi all .. I've not been here for a while and it's not in the best of circumstances that I'm back. I'm looking to sell 2688 as I have to raise some cash for a trip abroad . Also it hasn't been used in anger for a few years and I'd like it if it was used by someone properly again . It's not a museum p...

These grabs are from the film ' Beyond the lighted stage' it shows the rear of Alex's Hiwatts during a performance of The spirit of radio around 1980 , the front of the amps are de-badged. http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u146/reverberator_2007/ScreenShotrear.jpg http://i167.photobucket.com/albums...

Cool zero , nice amp dude. I shall be replacing valves and caps eventually but not yet as I wont be gigging mine or using it too loud just at the moment ..... but when i do I will replace them for reliability.

Re: My '72 DR 103 internal pics

Thanks guys. I thought that it may be a partridge p/t but not being au fait with Hiwatts .... that p/t has been in there at least 25 years as my friend from whom I bought it had it from the mid eighties, it's probably been there since the 70's early 80's and why it was replaced, who knows? Glad you ...

Re: 103 blowing main fuse

Yes , replaced both fuses for 3.15 amp and it's holding up well , switched it on and off several times and no blow.
The output tubes are glowing brighter too , they were slightly dim before . Thanks everyone for your help.

103 blowing main fuse

Hi , I have a problem concerning my 1972 DR 103 , two out of three times it will blow the main fuse when switched on ... the time when it works the amp will stay on all day and is fine if you don't turn it off , but if you do it's a gamble if it blows again (it usually does) The amp is UK voltage an...
