I've read that, in a four-tube output stage, the most important thing is whether each *side* is balanced with respect to the other - in other words, add the two current draws for one side, compare with the total for the other two. In this case, it sounds like two tubes are lower than the other two, ...

Thanks! So the two plywood blocks should actually attach to the chassis, which should then slide into the cab box? That would make a lot more sense than having two little wood screws hold the blocks in place while you reach around trying to attach them to the chassis...
