WANTED: 1 Fane Crescendo to BORROW (will pay $)

I know...odd title. But I'm looking for a very excellent example of a 12" Fane Crescendo speaker from the 70s to BORROW to run some audio tests on (all recorded, nothing to damage speaker) and then return to owner. I am willing to pay for this service. Please let me know, I am not on this forum...

Not exactly stock... but they are 1978 Dimarzio Super Distortions... So they are close enough to stock considering the pickups are only 7 years newer then the guitar.

1972 Hiwatt DR103 Video Demo (Pre and Master on 10!)

Took some time this weekend to demo my '72 DR103 through a 1978 Fane Loaded Hiwatt cab (fane 125161 code speakers). I was trying to think what would be the most fun video, and I figured pegging the preamp volume AND master volume to max would do the trick! Here you go! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

Re: Vintage HIWATT Convention 2012

New to forum... would love to see this happen here in the Twin Cities! I've got a 10-month old so traveling is out for me.

... oh, and I've got a killer sounding DR103 from 1972 and a 1978 Cab (loaded with those 125161 speakers you guys seem to love) to share at the convention...

Hiwatt DR103 1M Bias Pot (It works)

From another post on this forum, i decided to try out a suggestion to add a simple 1Meg linear pot to my '72 DR103 to allow for bias adjustment. All other suggestions showed multiple desolders and component additions. I wasn't comfortable with that since this is a vintage amplifier. But I stumbled u...

Re: First Post & First Hiwatt: 1972 DR-103

Like a hot chick in an ugly dress....still hot!!! Congrats!!! Thanks;)... I'm in love. Never owned one, but she sounds really great! I cracked her open at work to get a good look and didn't see anything too crazy. Some annoying things like too small physical size power cap and a low-quality mains s...

First Post & First Hiwatt: 1972 DR-103

Hello! pulled the trigger on a good deal to be had on a '72 dr103 (whats funny, is the store said it was a '73, but the serial number, and tranny codes point to '72). I've been a marshall guy for years, but decided its time to experiment with some Hiwatt sound. Unfortunately, I'm at work and the amp...
