mmm vintage hiwatt cab?

Post by hohohiwatter »

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vintage-Hiwatt-4- ... 27ba808d4b

says its a vintage hiwatt 4x12, mmm at a glance lookin at the pic it looks like an old hiwatt with the faded to brown salt n pepper, but lookin closer it looks like a sound city to me.
no fanes in it (celestions). no rear port. jack socket at bottom insted of top. no serial number. the edges r not hiwatt round overs. sound city flip handles, which leads me to belive its a late 60's sc cab but i would of thought it'd have the silver cloth, unless its been replaced.
so if it is an old sc from late 60's all thats left is the shell an he wants 300quid for it!
mmm....

Not sure what that thing began life as.

Without disclosing what model and era of Celestions are inside the cab, the seller appears to be hoping for an act of blind faith, if not an outright miracle.

Internal pics would be a great help.

Pre-Rola 20w G12S's, circa 1971 - probably worth the opening bid to the right person (not safe for DR103 usage, though).

Pull the badge & speakers and dumpster the cab.
