One single FANE Crescendo 15" 100W ?

Post by billou_35 »

Hello,

I wonder if a single FANE Crescendo 15" 100W would be enough for a Custom 50 ? Will it sound good, not too dark, not too thin (one speaker) ?

Thanks,
Fabien

That should be fine in the power handling department. Keep in mind that Fane made several Crescendo models. Some were for sound reinforcement (PA) usage and may not be ideal for guitar.

The cabinet has a lot to do with final sound. A single 15" (guitar) speaker can sound great in the right cabinet.

Thank you Dave... The code says : 152112 20.000G 15 Ohms 100W... Do you know this model ?
I'm afraid it sounds thin with only one speaker...

I'm not familiar with that Crescendo model. In the proper cabinet, a single 15" should not sound thin :? .
