Re: 70's Fanes?
They look 100% original to me. Nice example of lower wattage Fanes.
As the good Dr. said, take them out for a spin and let us know how they sound!

Phew..., thanks guys. I find it incredibly nerve wracking buying without trying!
I will load them up tomorrow now as we have guests and I would prefer to do things properly (with no beer involved!!) in the daylight.![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Re: 70's Fanes?
OK guys I finally had chance to load them up yesterday. I had to "persuade" the studs in the cab slightly upwards to get them to drop in properly and I also had to get the soldering iron out the remove the remnants of the previous wires to re-use my push on connectors.
WOW.....!! there is now a certain detail and overall tone clarity with the clean that just was not there previously. Breakup is now a lot later than before and I seem to have an incredibly clear bass response.
I have not had chance to play properly at a loud volume as yet (although I have not detected any loss of volume when I turned it up very briefly) or with dirt etc but so far I could not be more delighted.
and they are not coming out any time soon..!!

Thank you all once again for your input.
