The pics for this ebay auction seemed a bit strange to me:
1)the first being that instead of having three capacitors mounted to the side of the chassis, two were missing?
2)there is no choke transformer, most dr-201 heads I see have one including late 70's early 80's. I have seen one pic wno choke but underneath the chassis the wiring was more like the olders.

Can I get any info as to if this has been gutted or something?

It shows as ended now, and there are only exterior pictures.
The choke was a feature of the older 4 x KT88 amps, but at some point -- perhaps when they switched to 6 x EL34 -- the choke was no longer used.

lets see if this comes thru:
notice there are only 2 caps left mounted on each side? Yet the chassis has been hole punched. But no clamps either?
Some weirder cap replacement work on the above?
Seemed like a nice deal
Thanks for the help!

It certainly isn't "100% original", as claimed by the seller .wallsofsound wrote: Seemed like a nice deal
Mains switch, indicator lamps, filter caps and some resistors have been changed. I've seen a few Hiwatts with "chicklet" caps, but none that recent (13,### serial range).
Methinks the buyer may be disappointed...
