I've just finished biasing my SA-212 after adding a bias pot, have a nice pair of pretty well matched Mullards in and she sounds glorious...
I was getting ready to mount the chassis back in the cab, and I remembered thinking that this mounting system is a little strange. It sure doesn't look normal to me, but this is the only 212 I've ever seen the inside of. If you guys could take a look... should these little pivoting pieces actually be a full-width shelf? I can make one up, just thought I'd check. They pivot on one wood screw at the back... seems a little shaky.
Thanks! So the two plywood blocks should actually attach to the chassis, which should then slide into the cab box? That would make a lot more sense than having two little wood screws hold the blocks in place while you reach around trying to attach them to the chassis...
