......... without detaching it and restapling?
My cab's grill-cloth is fairly saggy, I'm guessing from a previously damp environment. I've heard tales of hairdryer blasting but don't know if it's too far gone, could do speaker damage or worth doing?
Has anyone ever successfully tightened up saggy grillcloth..

hi stu,
it doesnt look to bad.
i had a cab with the grill similar to that 1 and just sprayed some water (dont go mad mind!) using a plastic spray bottle like u'd get at a garden place or hairdressers, and then got the hair dryer on it. guess what it really does work! give it go!

Yeah, I heard of that one, but the consensus on PP was that you had to remove the speakers to make sure they were safe with water being sprayed about. I don't fancy all that hassle without someone being able to guarantee the results.
I'm gonna spend some time gluing all of the nicks & tears back down on it, see how purdy I can make it look without too much effort.

That grill cloth has been pushed against most likely its been carried with the grill cloth against the persons belly.
I have tighten up grill cloths using the method described above, just use a spray mister to lightly dampen the grill.
it is better to "under do" it the first time and have to repeat the process once more than it is to get it too wet.
the cloth is actually made of a paper like product, be be careful and patient, but it does work.

yeh just be carefull.
u wont damage ur speakers, as long as ur careful and just give it a lite misting to start with if ur scared.
u'll have to throw a bucket of water at it then plug in an play straight away to damage those speakers!
there pretty robust.
