This "california" dr103 plus 2x12 is on Ebay, presumably Sterling. People on the gilmour forum might be interested, is it a stay away. No gut shots.
I've asked for plate pic, internals and speaker shots, we will wait and see.
What about this one??? I have asked for full board shots.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1973-Hiwatt-C ... 4172317ce4

Re: 1985 dr103 Ebay plus others
At 600GBP the sterling is already overpriced. These were generally not well built and used PC boards.
the other is actually a late 1976 - early 1977, not a 1973. This could be an honest mistake, but the manner in which the description is written comes across like cheap sales jargon.
There is no difference in tone or build quality between a 1973 and 1977. This should be no issue.
The lack of good pics is a turn off as well. Why is there not a single overall "gut shot"?
I dislike this kind of auction and prefer to let the amp (or rather pictures of) sell itself, not cheesey and inaccurate hype.
