Mid 1980's Crescendo's

Hi, can anyone tell me more about these speakers? Are they anything like the old Crescendo's and suitable for guitar use?

Difficult to tell from the photos. Originally, Fane made Crescendo "A" models for "general purpose" (which includes guitar) and "B" models for Bass & Organ (stronger surrounds, limited high end). The ones in your pics are more recent than that and I don't see any A or B designation. Probably intended for Sound Reinforcement use.

If you can get them cheaply, give them a try. I wouldn't pay a premium for that era of Fanes - Crescendos or otherwise.
