Hi folks,
Well, Im thinking about selling my DR504, locally to a good friend.
It's a 1979. 2 input of course.
It was heavily modified and I brought it back to stock specs. It had a tube-buffered FX loop w/leve pot, which I removed. The holes are filled with "metal paste" and covered with the back "tag" plate over them (it was moved on side). Not bad looking.
It also had the canadian mod, removed too. I also had to find and solder original Mustard Caps almost all over the preamp board. It is now very clean, stock looking.
Im not sure about the resale value, how much should I ask for ?
I also have a '86 HIWATT 4x12, angled, MADE IN ENGLAND with rare black frame FANES, which sound awesome btw. I might sell this one, but not sure.

Re: Dr504 1979 value
Well.. it sounds like it has been dragged behind a horse a bit.. But it is nice to hear you put it right again! Without any good photos you will probably only hear crickets chirping I think Anyway, I base prices on what I payed to begin with, what I can google up on the current market and what I think is fair.. Ultimately it depends on the buyer and what they want to pay. FWIW, I recently picked up a recapped, mint '78 two hole DR103 for about $1350USD which seemed about right to me.
Re: Dr504 1979 value
Well here are some pictures...
I'll try to find some more (outside/cabinet) but it is in *correct* shape for a 24 yo amp. Not a museum piece, but still looks great !
That is the inside NOW :

Well, the 'after' picture certainly looks much better than the 'before!'
