Hiwatt amp tech in Cincinnati

Post by guitargearhunter »

Hi there,

This is only my second posting, but I wanted to reach out and see if any members could recommend a "Hiwatt expert" technician in the Cincinnati or Dayton, Ohio, areas? I have a DR504 / SA112 that I would like to get set up with an adjustable bias pot -- ideally by someone who has the knowledge and experience. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I don't know of any hiwatt experts in Cincy, but surely there is a decent tech over there?

I am over in Columbus IN (approx. a 90 minute drive) and could do that for you if you don't mind driving it over and leaving it for a week or two?

Well, up until about 4 months ago, I was in Middletown :? . Chrome Dome in Cincy seems to have a decent reputation, but I don't know how much Hiwatt experience they've got.

I did meet a student/hobbyist who did nice work on Fender amps. If you'd like, I could reach out to see if he's up for it.

Clayton (Dr. HI-TONE) is the man behind Hi-Tone amps so he knows his stuff. If you don't want to travel that distance, I think Reeves amps is in Cincy; I have never had dealing with them and I don't know if they do repairs.
