Fellow enthousiasts,
Found on the net: https://reverb.com/item/206501-hiwatt-f ... 72-16-ohms
Unfortunately I'm on the wrong side of the pond to get this one for myself. If I were anywhere near Chicago (like within 1000 miles) I would hop in my car this very instant.
These cabs are rarer than hen's teeth. This one looks to have the original full set (quad) of matching Fane Crescendos 12A's (122326). What makes these particular Crescendos so rare is that in these cabs they are 16 Ohms. You have all seen the 8 Ohm variety being offered from time to time, as well as what they go for, but I bet these are the first 16 Ohms you have ever seen. High DG factor here guys. In the ad it says the speakers are 50 watt, but of course they are 100 W each.
One of you get it quick before it's gone: at $1500 it's a steal!
Good luck.

Not saying they're not....but, speaker backs don't typically get scratched up inside enclosed cabs. That's more a symptom of combo amps, where power cords and pedals bounce around unprotected.Fanedango wrote:This one looks to have the original full set (quad) of matching Fane Crescendos 12A's (122326).
Still, a cab worth investigating.

Good point Dave! The eye of the expert...

I don't think the Crescendos ever came in that cab stock. If they are replacements, they could have gotten scratched up during their 'in-between' life (e.g., magnet-side down on the concrete floor).
