Help with a 72-73 Hiwatt Dr103

Post by hiflier »

Hi everybody,
I would be grateful to you if you could help me to clarify some issues regarding a Hiwatt Dr103 I have been offered.
The seller states the amp is from 1972-1973, but considering the serial number in the back plate I would say it is a 1971 one.
This is not very important to me but it is strange that some numbers appear crossed out. Is it normal?

The seller also states the amp doesnt have any mod, but considering the photos below I would say several components have been replaced (many resistors). I cant say if the values are the same but at least I think they are not the original ones.

Could you confirm if Im right? If so, does the amp have any severe modification?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Cheers!!!!!

The only unoriginal component visible in the pictures is the Master Volume potentiometer.
That is the most "messed up" serial number tag that I have ever seen, but there are some with errors like that out there.
it is a late 1971.

HI-TONE, when only the best will do.
