The old 122231 is resurrected. Welcome the HI-TONE '231

Post by Dr.HI-TONE »

The most common used fane speaker from the 1970s the 122231. Used in SE4123 cabs and SA212 combos from 1970 till 1978.
nice tight bass, complex and tasty woody mids and a mellow top end.
instant Townshend.
unmistakable 1970's genuine HIWATT tone.

Now available in HT4123, HT2123 cabs and HI-TONE combos and as replacements for Genuine Dave Reeves era HIWATT amps and cabs.

Interesting! Any idea when you might have some comparative sound clips available?

Thank you.
We have some with the LOWATT combos with DR-Fs and '231s
I think that with the DR-F, '231 and Crescendo we are probably finished recreating/developing speaker models.
We have the bases covered pretty well.
