"GUYS I MET ON THE INTERNET" Part Deux

Post by mikhailwatt »

I'll be "running the gauntlet" again this weekend... this time to pick up one of the very early PCB DR504 Hylights. :D  8)

No cavity searches, Interpol screenings or other issues...

My son made the trip with me. And #14872 made it home safely.

Sounded good and HIWATT-ey when I tried it, though it does have a bit of the 2-holer "splatty" thing when dimed, and probably needs a Canadian de-mod. Pics and more later. :)

edit: just had to pull it out of the sleeve...

Tested 27/8/80. Everything looks original, except the filter caps and one output valve base (just replaced), the usual Canadian 120v and gain mods, and some cab & chassis mounting screws. And eight all-new E-H valves (including an AX7 in the PI)... soon to be replaced.

They're still good for "smoke tests."

Congrats on the new 'watt.

Or....modern sculpture :D ?

Congrats on the succesful border run, mikhailwatt. That one's a mere 4 months "newer" than my PCB SA112.
