Pics from the studio
My son's band did some recording at Robert Lang Studios last weekend.

He's the one playing the Epi Les Paul (through the '103 halfstack).

Fortunately they were only doing "keeper" tracks for the drums and bass. He couldn't dial in a good tone with the '103...mikhailwatt wrote:He's the one playing the Epi Les Paul (through the '103 halfstack).
(Yeah, that's what I said, "huh?")
Check out those tone settings... normally that would have been painfully thin and bright, but putting 60' of cable between the guitar and amp with no buffer will dull up even a mighty HIWATT.

Straight into the #1 amp slot (over the iWatt)? Impressive! Nice collection of microphones, too.mikhailwatt wrote:#14872

Not exactly... the other guitarist is using my '504 and the Reeves cab, instead of his Fender Twin. His Tele into the Twin is hard to listen to!OldSchoolDave wrote:Straight into the #1 amp slot (over the iWatt)? Impressive! Nice collection of microphones, too.
My son prefers the iWATT DR103 and the SE4123 with the 122231 Fanes. I prefer >>>both<<<.
Mics were rented for their project along with the preamps.

Just checked out their myspace, I'm diggin' the new songs, reminds me of Television! Hey Mike PM me when they get it on CD and I'll buy a copy.
Re: Pics from the studio
Wow, this stuff is right up my alley! Sounds like the stuff I write, but not as bad! I'm loving it; will definitely buy a copy.

Cool... I'll let them know they're big in The Great White North.
It'll be available on iTunes as well... but if you're like me, you avoid the mp3 format at all costs.

Yeah, screw iTunes. Vinyl first for me, then CD second if necessary. I really like the cover art too, from what I can see on that tiny thumbnail.
Re: Pics from the studio
Just noticed that the record will be for sale this Saturday; great! I'll be placing my order.

Yup, the CDs arrived yesterday. Nice packaging.
Hang on, let me see if I can procure a few freebies for my HIWATT brethren.
