Unofficial Upper Midwest Vintage Hiwatt sub-Convention
Just enjoyed a nice Sunday morning/afternoon with Hiwatt Bob & JC103, strumming guitars through Hiwatts at an Unofficial Upper Midwest Vintage Hiwatt sub-Convention in Dave's Garage .
We tried a few different speaker cabs - including a '78 G12H30 55Hz loaded Marshall 1982 cab . Spent most of the time playing a '74 DR103 through my '72 cast frame Fane loaded Hiwatt cab, though a pair of stamped frame Fanes sounded pretty darn good too. Good conversation and cold Leinenkugel's. Hard to beat that!
Thanks for coming over, guys! Safe travels Jarrett & Jenny. See youse guys next summer, perhaps?

Hey guys, had a blast this weekend! Thanks again for the good times and tone!!! Next time we'll have to A/B the VP's with some Fanes over some Leinenkugel's.

Does this mean the next "Unofficial Upper Midwest Vintage Hiwatt sub-Convention" will have a visit from the good doctor?

I heard the word "quad" mentioned... God bless him, it appears the mayor of HIWATT Valley has had some serious G.A.S. of late.OldSchoolDave wrote:If only we knew someone who had some ...
