It had masking tape on it with the description of what each pot did with the "modified" preamp.
I removed the masking tape and cleaned it off with WD-40 on some gauze. It works very well!
Hopefully this evening I can get it to the point where I can fire it up! I will still be tweaking and tidying up for a while, but "the waiting is the hardest part" -tom petty

I had several distractions and set it aside for a while. I need to finish it up before the convention!

I didn't get it finished before the convention, but with some help from Mark H. the beast came back to life!
It has some serious lungs too!

That dos'nt look that differant to my 73 PA 100. How dose it sound ?
