My son's band did some recording at Robert Lang Studios last weekend. 8)

He's the one playing the Epi Les Paul (through the '103 halfstack).

Looks like everyone had fun!

My ears ring everytime I even SEE those slender metal JBL horns  .

Fortunately they were only doing "keeper" tracks for the drums and bass. He couldn't dial in a good tone with the '103... :?

(Yeah, that's what I said, "huh?")

Check out those tone settings... normally that would have been painfully thin and bright, but putting 60' of cable between the guitar and amp with no buffer will dull up even a mighty HIWATT.

Straight into the #1 amp slot (over the iWatt)? Impressive! Nice collection of microphones, too.

Not exactly... the other guitarist is using my '504 and the Reeves cab, instead of his Fender Twin. His Tele into the Twin is hard to listen to!

My son prefers the iWATT DR103 and the SE4123 with the 122231 Fanes. I prefer >>>both<<<. :D

Mics were rented for their project along with the preamps.

Cool... I'll let them know they're big in The Great White North.

It'll be available on iTunes as well... but if you're like me, you avoid the mp3 format at all costs. :x

Yeah, screw iTunes. Vinyl first for me, then CD second if necessary. I really like the cover art too, from what I can see on that tiny thumbnail.

Yup, the CDs arrived yesterday. Nice packaging.

Hang on, let me see if I can procure a few freebies for my HIWATT brethren.
