good seller of NOS tubes?

looking to buy the tubes for my dr103 - want to spring for some reaklly nice sounding ones suitable for bass guitar

last year i had a thread at plexi palace where a military spec AT7 was suggested for the phase inverter but not really decided on the rest as i don't have the know how or experience so chime in if you have a good suggestion

any good sellers out there that youwould reccomend (must be new old stock not partially used)

No worries there, the only problem will be deciphering his response! He is an odd one, on the phone sounds like a normal SoCal person, but online he, um, rambles a bit.

well, no reply yet - but he doesnt strike me as the online 24/7 sort of guy so i'll give him a weekto reply before i think of going else where.

I think you're right about buying NOS for the phase inverter. Some say it's the most important tube in the amp.

Agreed, a good valve in the PI is very important. But I can definitely hear the difference between output tubes in a HIWATT when the master is pushed past noon.
