Hey Dr. Hiwatt do I understand this correctly ... you found another DR405?!?
I guess it's the time of the season ...

The one I found last year was a Fake. It was a converted 400 watt slave. I didn't know this until I had to go through it to determine why it wouldn't work.
The Sleeziest of the Sleeze in the UK converted it and made a fake serial tag. The same amp is pictured on Mark's site in its original form. Fortunately the seller was good enough to take it back.
On another note, I do know of another DR405 for sale in Germany. The condition is not nearly as nice as mine, but there is another available.

Yeah I was reffering to the one in Germany. So you didn't make a deal then?
Good to know it's still available ... and probably will be for a while, since the price is quite premium ...
Btw, did the seller send you pics of the internals? Since it's a late one it's probably PCB, right? Which year is yours?

Hey Ales,
I didn't know I was communicating with you....
I made him a very fair offer, and haven't heard a response.
Actually the DR405's were still built using turret boards through the Biacrown days. Only the DR504 and DR103 amps switched to PCB.

Yep! I don't know about the SA212 however. I haven't seen one with pc boards.

Heh, I only know to make such a comment because I'm old enough to need reading glasses when wearing contacts...
