WTB: 3 Prong Voltage/Impedance "plug"

Post by dolemitehc »

Sorry to use my first post for this, and I'm sure lots of people are looking for these!

Any help in locating one is greatly appreciated! I actually only need the "plug" or the male piece as I lost it one night.

I don't necessarily need the socket, although that couldn't hurt if anyone has a set they can spare.

Cheers!

These are scarcer than the proverbial hen's teeth.

You can always use the one you have for the speaker selector, and just use a wire jumper to set your local mains voltage semi-permanently.

Hey Mark,

Yup, I'm beginning to realize how hard they are to get ahold of.

I'm a big fan of Matamp amps and I have two GT120s. I found they use that same mechanism which brought me here. I'm selling one of my GT120s, so I'm just taking the plug for the one I'm keeping and having the other one hard-wired.

I never actually heard a Hiwatt, but I just live in Wisconsin which is close to Indiana. If I'm bored in August I should take a jaunt over to the convention. (Actually I should make a point of it)

Cheers!

PS: From now on I'm putting tape over those plugs. I hate loosing things !

I've found the Marshall style plugs to be more susceptible to loss, but I guess it can happen to the best of 'em ;) . Explains all that duct tape residue on the back of vintage amps.

Dave

P.S. Even though I'm in the Twin Cities now, I'm a cheesehead by birth (and my wife is one by marriage :) ). In what part of God's Country do you live?
...Hey! I played that song when it was new...

Hey Dave,

I'm in and from the fox cities/green bay area. I don't know how else to say it except "if I had a nickel for...." each interesting musician (and people in general) who move from this area to the Twin Cities..."I'd be rich".

I swear when I visit my friends in your area, there are more cheese heads than vikings. But I'm a 49ers fan anyway.

Cheers!
Howie
