I have noticed that my best sounding cab has no feet what so ever.
I also noticed that cabs with the original type wood skids sound better than a cab with casters or rubber feet.
Any other observations/opinions?

Stop! You had me at "bare bottoms" ...Dr.HIWATT wrote:Any other observations/opinions?
The greater the contact patch, the better the acoustic coupling with the floor, IMHO. Hiwatts w/ skids running front-to-back are pretty good. Orange cabs w/ skids running side-to-side are even better.
I've pulled the skids from a couple of my Hiwatt cabs. One, 'cause they were all tore up anyway and, two, so they'd fit in my Anvil cases.

On the skids
The coupling is certainly better. Besides, HIWATT 4x12's at ear level ? ouch!! I've had nothing but good luck for years being on the skids...
