Stamped steel, painted in black hammertone, actually. The cone code (5276?) doesn't ring a bell. From the date code, I'd guess '80 but Fane did some strange things during that era. Could be '83 production, I guess :?: .

125155's were introduced for the front-loaded cabs. My front-loader (serial number in the very early 9000's, IIRC) has 122142's. Not sure if the 125155's are closer to a 122231 or a 122142, though. Might be able to tell by relative weight (142's have heavier magnets).

Serial #8804. I'm not sure how to check it against a registry...found the one for amps but not for cabs.

Alright...US made cab with the maroon labeled Fanes...which apparently are 30 watt speakers...manufacture of about 1980 if info in registry is accurate. Is $650 a steal or just fair for this cab?

I think you are confusing the location of the cab column with its origin. All Hylight Electronics cabs were made in England, biacrown's too.
There is no way that 30 watt drivers would be used. They are almost certainly a minimum of 50 watts. Those later 125155 are possibly 75 watts

I requested a picture of the serial number badge on the back of the cab.

I think the 125xxx speaker serial number indicates that it's a 75 watt speaker.

Will my amp drive that 300 watt cab hard enough to sound good?

the serial # has nothing to do with the wattage.
When it comes to HIWATTs, don't think in terms that you are used to. At first everyone wants to compare them to Marshalls because there are so many of them out there. But, HIWATTs are in a league all their own.

The SE4123 is a 100 watt cab regardless of the speaker in it 50 watts or 75 watts.
A DR504 will give an SE4123 all it wants. They are a perfect match.

LOL...well I was thinking it was a 200 watt cab. Soooo...timing is around 1980ish? If so this would make it same era as my amp. Price seems right compared to new stuff....what do you all think?
