look at this! i'm all for over valuing equipment but jezz.....
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT
this could be quite a topic. i mean really things r only worth what people will pay for them but if i want to buy anymore hiwatt stuff i might have to pay more for it cause the market is being pushed up by people over valuing their stuff. i suppose its good if u've already got a load of this kinda thing to sell an happened to get it cheap, as in 10/20/30yrs ago, but for honest players who just want really good sounding reliable "vintage" gear its gettin harder an harder to find at a decent price. i no what some will say, "that its bin goin on for yrs", "gone r the days" etc....
but browsing the old bay u do come across some things that make ur eyes pop out an u go "how much!!"
anyway......

Re: Ha Ha Ha!
I'm sure it's a great sounding head - but, that would definitely set an all-time record price for a two input, PCB Hylight Hiwatt .
Guess the "vintage" flight case must be worth a few grand, eh ?

Re: Ha Ha Ha!
I'd give $5000 for it before I'd give $50 for an In Name Only HIWATT, but Yikes!
Lot's of folks are guilty of over pricing gear due to sentimental attachment. Or narcotic influence...
I'v never seen a $4000 flight case....

Yeah. You can't blame a guy for dropping a hook in the water just to see if anything nibbles on it.Dr.HIWATT wrote:Maybe he is following the "it doesn't hurt to ask" philosophy?
