the cabs aren't a bad price. He has the dates wrong as they are 1978 vintage.
If I hadn't already been on such a shopping spree!

Me too!
I asked the seller for pics.
I may have to have my buddy in the bay area pick it up....
Do you think Darcy would mind if I had to miss her daughter's birthday party to collect this stuff?

Gee, how could she object? I mean, daughters' birthdays come along every year. DR405's are once in a lifetime opportunities .Dr.HIWATT wrote: Do you think Darcy would mind if I had to miss her daughter's birthday party to collect this stuff?

Yep. It would definitely be another Hiwatt road. I've been on quite a few. I don't trust shippers with the heavy stuff.Road trip ???
Dave
I may need to offer $5,000 so Dr. H doesn't swipe it first.

I am thinking both SE4123's and the DR405 on a pallet.
Then trucking them here.
I don't have the time for that long of a road trip.

Re: San Fran Craigslist DR-405 spotted
hey Zells,
notice the transformer mountings are different yet, from both mine and yours?
Definitely custom built. These were built so few and far between that they couldn't remember how they attached the trannies on the previous one...

Re: San Fran Craigslist DR-405 spotted
Yes. The power transformer is oriented 90° with respect to the one on my amp. Your DR405 has the vertical output transformer. I think the arrangement on this #3001 DR405 makes the most sense. I don't like the PT windings on mine are hugging against a ECC83 tube, but I suppose it's not a big issue.Dr.HIWATT wrote:hey Zells,

Fane 125155... I forget, have we seen this model before?
You can almost feel the current flowing
You can almost see the circuits blowing
