I found the pics of my old Simm-Watts FANE in the 4x12 that I sold (and why ? ):

In fact, these are the speakers that I really loved and I just discovered that they were : 122140, those that I'm supposed to buy from the guy I contacted. These ones were really 50W 14G 15Ohms and sounded really very nice to me. They were darker than 122231 that I had in the SA212 that I had in the past.

So, the one I'm supposed to buy are really 122190 and not 122140... The cones are really not the same...

the sims watt speakers are model 122/14G

122190 is a Sound City Fane and is only 40w. They may sound somewhat like a 122231, but I would not be surprised if they do no sound a lot like a '231

I could call a real old amps lover (He's got his own studio) near me (he has really all the amps & speakers from 50s to 70s). He told me that the model I wanted to buy is a Full Range product (it was in fact written in the announcement) and that, as Dave mentioned, will be really like a 122231 but with a lot more high end, really more in the PA systems side and that makes sense because the guy who sells them was working in the PA systems back in the time...

I will visit in the next weeks the collector guy : he got Hiwatts, Selmers, Marshalls, Supro, VOXs, Simm-Watts, Klemt, blablabla... and he only keeps the best models, he's slowly selling part of his collection. He got also tons of NOS speakers : FANE, Celestion, Goodmans... This is the man who told me about Klemt amps.

He thinks I'll be very pleased with Goodmans Red labels... He got tons of others speakers... I think I'll have a good time soon !
