That is good news indeed. I was just about to reply and apologise for the unclear instructions regarding the output transformer secondary. Pin 3 on the tube sockets related only to the primary. The crucial thing that I forgot to mention was the fact that the hiwatt output jacks are wired to short the secondary winding if there's no speaker plug connected (safer for transformer and tubes in the event the amp is operated without a load).
Very pleased to hear you got it going again and hope there's nothing major wrong with the other one.

Ahh me, the second one was just the fuse. It was incorrectly loaded with 3A and 1A fuses as opposed to 6A/3A for use with 120v.

Good news as well. Note that the HT fuse is the same at all mains voltages, only the mains fuse changes.

Of course you are correct. It's funny to know that both these amps which were bought in N. America came with the fuses 3A/1A.
