I could have bought that SA412 exactly a year ago for $1800 plus shipping. I passed on it then. it is hard to feel like giving the guy $600-$700 more for it now.

It is an interesting museum piece, but it is so impractical!!! That is why they only made a dozen or so.... They couldn't hardly give them away.

I might grab it for my museum????

The OT in that 2 holer has been replaced.........

Maybe Old School Dave can make a section here for Ebay pieces so I can help people not get screwed like the poor guy that bought the hacked '73????? I have a highly trained eye for detail!

The SA 412 is indeed impractical, but for the Dr. of everything HIWATT I would think it would be a good addition to the wall o' WATTS for next years convention! :D, I am surprised the bid is as high for it as it is right now. I think an eBay forum or a buyer help section would be a great addition to this site.

You definitely have that! Not sure if that topic warrants a section all by itself, though.

How about modifying the "For Sale / Trade / Wanted" section to "For Sale / Trade / Wanted / Alerts", "For Sale / Trade / Wanted / Evaluations", "For Sale / Trade / Wanted / Opinions" or something similar?

Or, I can add an "...as seen on the 'bay" section, if you prefer.

Standing by for the Doctor's Orders ;) ,
Dave

"Comprehensive examinations with the Dr." I like that. Any of the forum members are certainly welcome to hit me up for "look-overs" and opinions.

Ah, so when someone re-wired the power cord back to stock, they didn't bother to wire it neatly? Seems odd to go to the trouble of restoring it to original but not bother to match the military spec wiring. Hmmm, maybe I'll make an offer of $1900 and see what happens.

If you spend any time looking at old amps, you see exactly that kind of thing all the time.

Why???? I don't know....

If wiring that neatly was so easy, Then all the fenders, Marshalls, Vox, Orange amps etc. etc. wouldn't look like rats nests.

That DR103 is back up again, this time starting at $1850.00. I would probably be all over it except for the fact that when I requested a shipping estimate to Canada, the seller tried to convince me that he would charge me customs up front to the tune of about $300 including the shipping and insurance. That's not how it works, customs are charged to the recipient of the package after delivery, not to the sender of the package. Unfortuante.
