I was thinking it might be nice to have open threads or a section for famous Hiwatt users. Perhaps a place to post pics and gear information/details for users like Tommy Bolin, that Floyd guy, etc.

I'm a NYC guy, and I can tell you that yes we had to use the bushes and a trench out back to do our "business" during last year's convention. Remember--when you're west of the Hudson you're campin' out.

mikhailwatt wrote:Dave, is it possible to add a cool HIWATT icon to the site? I've just got that boring default internet explorer "e" in my favorites bookmark...
Took awhile....but, I stumbled across the solution today. You should be seeing a big "H" icon in the address window. If you save this site as a Favorite, that favorite should also display the icon.

As I understand it, the icons have to be square, so there's not enough room for the whole HIWATT plate. If you're aware of any rectangular icons, let me know and I'll dig into it deeper.

Scratch ONE off the list (whew!).

Mine didn't show up in the address window until my next restart. It did show up right away when I saved the site as a favorite, though. I'm using IE6.

Let me know if your situation changes. In the meantime, I'll do some research.

Now at work with IE7... still the big "e". Hmmm....

The customized logos for the P/P, metroamp, Rush is a Band , and other bookmarks all work.

Of course, this is really throwing off my whole day... won't be able to get anything done...

Try it one more time. I just added a specific line of code to the home page. Inserting it into the forum software is a bit more involved and I don't want to screw anything up  . If you still don't see it, try going back to the home page ( http://www.vintagehiwattconvention.com ) and adding that as a favorite. Once the icon is installed, it should also show for the Forum link (I think).
