One of the output tube resistors seems to have been smoked (see red arrow).

Do you think it - and, perhaps, the other socket's resistor - should be changed before running this amp?

check them and see if the values have drifted.

Looks like they both overheated, and only one was replaced.

Depending on how original you want to be, you might want to replace them with the newer 504 value (1k 5w), as this is much kinder to the EL34 screens.
