If any of you guys driving in can bring a chest cooler, we could certainly use a couple more of them!
I have a lot of Burgers, italian sausages, hot dogs, Chips, buns, cole slaw, potato salad and soda, but some bags of Ice and coolers would definitely be appreciated!

Well, you know, some guys exaggerate about size...
I found my large cooler in storage and it has "96" written on it which, I assume, means it has a 96 GAZILLION GALLON Capacity. Or, maybe it's a 96 Quart model. Anyway, it's in the Mighty Terraza, complete with a couple of cases of Leinenkugel's (a.k.a. Nectar of the gods).

A little of this, a bit of that, you know.
Mostly, testing the human body's capacity to withstand Sound Pressure Levels measurable on the Richter scale
.
Oh, and then there was the pyrotechnic show yesterday afternoon... Details to follow.

Unfortunately, JC103, who recorded a lot of last year's convention, wasn't able to attend. I did bring my Fostex VF160 down and we managed to record the Speaker Shootout. Clips on that will follow as soon as I can figure out how to mix them down to separate the two mics (and Derek has graciously offered to post-process).
Pics coming soon.

Hi Clayton/Mark and all attendees!
Wish I could have come but was out traveling with family. Hope that no ears were damaged in the testing the DR201's!!!
I used 6xEL34 for bass for many years and loved it over the KT88 as it was a bit edger in sound. Will be good to hear eveyones else's opinions. Did any of Ted's FC12's get into the speaker shootout?
Can't believe this was the 4th convention!!! Great job Clayton!!!
Regards,

Hey Jeff,
yes we had a 4x12 wih the FC12's. They are a nice speaker, a slightly different flavor, but I like them.
Maybe you can make it next year?

Oh yeah, that reminds me....I've got some work to do on the shootout clips
. It'll probably have to wait unti after the holiday.
We tested the Weber FC12's (Ted's Crescendo clones, for those taking notes), Vintage Purples and 3 flavors of vintage Fanes (or was it 4?). I'll toss up a poll like we did last year and wait for some responses before revealing which clip is which. FWIW, I did like what I heard from the FC12's.
