yeah, i really wish i could make the VHC this year--if it wasn't on the weekend of my daughter's b-day, i'd be there for sure.

we'll hook up sometime after the convention, because i definitely want to hear those DR-F's....and swill a Leine's or four with ya.

compared to the Lynch V12 with a very small 38oz. magnet. The '142 magnet is nearly twice the weight!

tonal differences between the 142's and the DRF's i have in #2 would be? i'm very intrigued... :o

I still think I prefer the DR-Fs, but these are a little "woodier", imagine a speaker that takes the best attributes of the VP and the DR-F.

They are very, very good. I am not sure that we have settled on this one. We may send them back for tweaking. They are close, but so far only Clyde and I have heard them and he hasn't told me his opinion yet. I am interested in the feedback from the Convention aficionados.

Some guys prefer the woodier HIWATT tones, this is for them.

You told me in an email that these new prototypes were rated @ 150 watts? Was that typo? Or is it true!!! :D

Yes, a single 4x12 could deal with your DR405. 8)

Indeed, I confirmed this to be true at the convention. All knobs were dimed at one point. Even the guys talking and smoking outside the building thought it was insanely loud.
