Re: HI-TONE cabs
Maybe its just the picture.....but the tolex on the 4 x 12 looks like Marshall and the 2 x 12 looks more like Hiwatt reproduction. Can you confirm?
Also, are you using the white cliff jacks on the speaker connections?

Re: HI-TONE cabs
All of our cabs use Hylight style basket weave tolex, and white cliff jacks just like Hylights!

Re: HI-TONE cabs
Must be the picture. Note how the tolex on the (vintage Hylight) Hiwatt head appears the same as the cabs from that angle.menace2u wrote:Maybe its just the picture.....

Re: HI-TONE cabs
Ever consider making a 1x12 cab to the same width and depth of a 1x12 combo?

Re: HI-TONE cabs
briefly, there aren't many 12' speakers that can handle a DR103 for very long, and and far less that sound exceptional doing it.
having said that, we never say never.........

Re: HI-TONE cabs
A 1x12 would be good for the (really, any day now!) 30 watt kit VHR will be offering.
A 1x12 30w combo would be really sweet.

Re: HI-TONE cabs
I was thinking more of a closed back extention cabinet for a 50 watt combo, making a nice mini-stack for smaller venues.Dr.HIWATT wrote:briefly, there aren't many 12' speakers that can handle a DR103 for very long, and and far less that sound exceptional doing it.
