Vintage Amp buying
Hi, I'm considering purchasing a vintage hiwatt amp & marshall amp from an English dealer called Music Ground. Has anyone heard of them or dealt with them? I'm trying to get a handle on whether they are a reputable firm or not, before I complete a purchase with them. Its difficult to buy this type of stuff from an over seas outfit. I'm concerned about scams and forgeries. Thanks

Please do not even mention MG on this site.
Ebay is a much better place for finding ligitimate HIWATTs.

In that case, I would seriously encourage you to do some web searches on that company and its practices. My prediction is you'll find LOTS of things to read about .6String wrote:I'm concerned about scams and forgeries.
The above should not, in any case, be deemed legal advice or an opinion about the integrity of the seller in question...

MG makes ok reissues, but you can get a good used original for less money.
