Too early to assume they're out of circulation. "Good" lawyers have gotten them out of other messes in the past.

The "catching a greased pig" analogy comes to mind...

That's true, Dave. The Harrison's have been in hot water over their crooked business practices in the past, but they still continue to stay in business.

Wow, we all knew they were crooked, but I didn't think they were *that* crooked.

Per someone on the PP forum:

[This] has been referred to Crown Court (the senior court for our US friends, the lower court (Magistrate's Court) decided it was too serious to hear). Trial starts tomorrow.......will get the gist of it and post as able.

Well, they didn't get locked up without bail. I was talking with them at NAMM last week whilst totally unaware of these recent events.

Jeesh! The Court didn't confiscate their passports? They must have good lawyers...

Judge Christopher Batty described their actions as 'disgusting'. He said: 'We are not talking about throw-away items. We are talking expensive property - vintage guitars.
A suspended sentence is what you get for "Disgusting" crimes in Jolly old England?

I guess jail overcrowding is a non-issue across the pond. :|

Jail overcrowding is a serious issue over here actually, but you're right, they probably have made enough money from their nepharious dealings in the past to be able to pay good lawyers. But lets face it, this country is totally nuts regarding what is considered a serious crime. The Royal Bank of Scotland helped, throw the world into financial meltdown, and instead of locking up the chief exec, we gave him a knigthood !!!!, knowingly write a dodgy Cheque for £20 and you have a better chance of going to jail. rant over.

I've been thinking about this and the possible silver lining is that they have gone from being suspected criminals or alleged criminals to convicted criminals.

At least that's on the record for all the world to see :? .

Which, if found guilty, would mean their suspended sentence terms would be breached and they'd go to jail.......and the POCA has real teeth.....
