Custom 30 JP with Les Paul ?

Hi,
I got difficulties to find some audio records of the Custom 30 JP (I went to the Hi-Tone YouTube Channel) without any effects and with a Les Paul. Do you know where I can listen to some tracks with this simple setup ?
Thanks,
Fabien

almost all of the you tube clips are a les paul with no effects.
I believe only two of the les paul clips have any effects.

Also, check out these clips:

Even though the guitar is a Schecter, it's Duncan-loaded and should be reasonably close to a Les Paul.

Thank you guys !!
Could you please tell me if these samples are played at 30W full power or 15W mode ? Cranked or not ?
I use my Cornell Plexi 45/50 in 15W mode (non master volume) and it's perfect for me so I wonder if the Custom 30 at Half Power 15W will be ok for me ?
I got a AC30HH with both 30W & 15W mode but the 15W mode is really not as good, less breathing & precise... Is it the case with the Custom 30 JP ?
Also, is it still possible to have a "Echoes" / "Shine on You" tone with the Custom 30 JP (no more balance between normal & bright channels)
Thanks again,
Fabien

I think most were played at 15w.
but this one was played at 30w. since we used the 4x12
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9bAe139B2w
They had the preamp volume cranked and the Master Volume was almost cranked. approx 3 o'clock (if looking at the face of a clock)
Volume was controlled by the guitar volume.
There is very little difference between the 15 & 30w. as far as tone is concerned, not like the Vox amps.

No. The issue with the AC30 is the EL84 power tubes. They don't pack the same punch as 6V6's. Also (and, correct me if I'm wrong mark), the half power design on the HI-TONE Custom 30 JP still runs all four power tubes, as opposed to simply cutting out a pair.
Either I or mark have pics of the control panel during the youTube sessions. I'll have to rifle through old emails to see if mark mentioned the settings for his earlier clips. Will update ASAP.

Thank you Dave for the reactivity !!
Do you personally own one and as a huge Hiwatt fan, do you really like it and see it like a Hiwatt ?
Also, is it still possible to have a "Echoes" / "Shine on You" tone with the Custom 30 JP ? I guess the Balance knob is a mix between bright & normal channel ?
Do you think Dave, Mark & Dr Hiwatt that it would be possible to have a clip with 15W & 30W mode and low preamp, medium preamp, high preamp, low power, high power : different combinations to really "hear" the amp. I know it is a lot of time but may be very useful for future customers !

I do not own a HI-TONE Custom 30 JP yet, as I do not have the time or place to build one. I intend to do so ASAP and expect it will become my main performing amp (since its volume range better matches the venues I play).

The amp can clean up and is very pedal-friendly. We tried to avoid any such "trickery" for the clips, so there was no question as to what the amp itself sounded like. As I mentioned, we chose 6V6 (vs. EL84) power tubes because they emulate the "big" sound of an EL34. It is NOT a wimpy amp

. Just more manageable than a 100 watter.
Good questions, but I'm not sure when we could get that done. Our major push the last time was to get a variety of speaker combinations recorded. We live hundreds of miles apart and are only able to get together occasionally. We'll see what we can do, though.

The balance knob is like a volume knob for the foot switch.
It controls how much of a volume cut the foot switch engages or disengages.
Think of it as a clean boost.
I am pretty sure that many of the clips were recorded at half power.
it may be a while before any new videos are made, but we will try to demonstrate the half power switch in future videos.
No problem with the Pink Floyd tones!

Thanks again guys !
Do you think this kind of tones is still achievable with the custom 30 even if of course, the guitar, the speakers, the power tubes are part of the equation, is the tone of the HI-TONE really close at medium volume ?

Clearly there, we are more in the Plexi territory... By the way, do you still prefer the FANE speakers more than G12H30 for this model ?

definitely close
After all the speaker comparisons we all agreed the DR-F was the best of the group, but none sucked.
I definitely like the DR307 JP better with DR-F's than the G12h30. No question.
