Hello and welcome to the Vintage Hiwatt Forum. No need to apologize - your English is much better than my French
.
Fane made several models of Crescendo speakers - ONE of which was favored by Mr. Gilmour. I believe that model was rated at 100 watts, but Dr.Hiwatt knows for certain.
Is there a sticker on the frame with Codes and Ratings? If so, please post a picture or whatever numbers you can find on the speaker and the cone itself (the cone code can be difficult to see sometimes, as it is often stamped up near the voicecoil).
Most importantly: How do your Crescendos sound?
Dave

can you read the model #?
if so what it is?
Can you get a photo of the label/decal that gives the model # and gauss and wattage?

For the moment, the speakers are still in the cab....I've only take the back of the cab off to watch in it.
The only stiker i can see is the stiker of the french importer (Musique Industrie)....where i saw it was a 75W speaker...
There's no sérial number either or i can't see it.
I'm going to try to make others photographies of it and i will post them...
Thanks for trying helping me....

Sorry,i don't have this sticker on my speaker....
The only one i have in is the importer sticker (Musique Industrie), where we can read :
Model N° : cresc 12B
Flux density : 20000
Power Handling : 75
Impedance : 8 ohms
Serial number : ....nothing !
you can see the sticker on this photograph

that sticker is from Fane, not the importer.
So it is a 12 "B"
somewhere on the frame will be a black stamped model number. like 122346 or something similar.
How do they sound to you?

Nevertheless on this sticker, there's no the name "Fane" but only "Musique Industrie" and it's brown not purple....
But that's not the most important i think....
Yes it's a 12B.....Do you know something about ? Where can we find it ?

I put the speaker off the cab and i didn't see any model number....i will look at it again next time...

A couple years ago i plugged (??) it in an old transistor power amp (Emthree...) it was really good....
But i've just bought a 9005 Marshall Power Amp and i wanted to be sure with the impedance before plug the cab in the Marshall...that's why i discovered the Fane....
Wait an see....(hear

I don't know much about them.
16ohm 12"A" Crescendos are David Glimour's favourite. The "A"s are 100 watts.
I would try them and see if you like them. They shouldn't suck.

The color is open to interpretation, lighting and aging. It may appear red to some, maroon to others and brown to you
. Here is another example:

Note that I have never seen an actual serial number in that blank. In this example, it is the production date code (21st week of 1972).

Without any serial number is it possible to date this speakers ?
I try with Musique Industrie in France but this company did not exist....
