Can any body give me some info on my speakers

Hi, I'm new to this forum & would like to know if any body can help me.
I reacently brought a 2X12 (Marshall 1936 sorry) which after much investigation I have found is fitted with fane speakers. The speakers are model 122366 & are dated 37th week of 1973.
There is a dot sticker on them stating they are 8-15ohm not nothing saying what wattage they are. As I am useing the cab with a 50watt valve head (Marshall again sorry) I want to make shure they are up to the job as I dont want to damage them.
Is there any chance that these could be the original speakers from this cab as there are no signs any other speakers have ever been fitted, I have estamated the cab as circa 1981 but I know Marshall brought up huge stocks of items such as speakers, valves & caps so you can't alwas reley on dates to match (I brought a Marshall amp which had one owner from new & he had brought it & put it into storage so we knew the valves had never been replaced, when we checked the power valves we found they were 10 years older than the amp).
I would also like to know if they have any value.
Hope somebody can help me.
