Help identifying this Crescendo Speaker, is it for guitar ?

It came in a old Marshall cab, obviously it wasn't meant to be there but whatever.

I have been trying to find out if it's really a guitar speaker or a PA speaker (see the whizzer cone) and if it's worth something. The sound its ok, I have played it in the 4x12 without any flaw but now I have taken it out I'm thinking if I should put it in a standalone 1x12 and compare it to my other speakers to get a clear comparison but I'm not sure if it's worth it.

Fane Crescendo 12/100t @ 8 ohm, 100w model, the number code stamped in the out frame seems to be 66386 (1986 ?) and theres another code stamped in the cone with a number 20. It has the Made in England engraved in the frame edge and seems quite old.

Anyone can throw any more info ?

Thanks in advance and regards from Spain !!

1986 could be correct.
it is not for guitar but rather for PA.

+1

Whizzer coned speakers can sound pretty nasty if cranked guitar is played through them. Can be great for clean guitar and for bass, organ, monitors or PA.

I wouldn't think you'd be harming any collector value if you decided to perform a whizzer-ectomy.
