i wonder if its the dodgy pair up to their tricks again?

or they bought a job lot of them, funny how this seller is selling it at the same over inflated price as they did.

ah well there we go then. its that tricksy wem cloth, there was actually a cab on the bay 2nd hand thats just finished, i'm convinced it was one of mg's attempt at making a starfinder but it maybe just an old cab, but the speaker spacing looks very starfinder, but the cloth looks just like the rag they were/r selling and doesnt have the black backing cloth which is why u can see the speaker holes thru it

check it

actually looking at it again, it could well be original cloth some1 has stuck on some old 4x12 back in the day and just didnt put the black cloth behind it

Difficult to tell from the photos. That *might* be woven fabric (unlike the printed replica previously mentioned).

My question is, how on earth did square back Eminence speakers wind up in the UK? Those were installed Stateside to some UK cabs shipped across the pond empty (to save weight). To my knowledge, they weren't standard issue for any UK amp makers.

YES IT IS ODD isnt it, i used to have an old early 70's simms watts 2x12 with the same speakers in.
and looking at the pics a bit closer it does seem to be the old woven cloth not the new printed type
strange tho that they both popped within a few days of each other

I think it is the same printed cloth used by MG and it is the right area of the UK, I see nothing sinister in the post, it is clear and stated that it is print and not embroidered, maybe we are just too sensitive regarding MG, and this is an honest seller. It is a bit strange though that the seller has moved from clothes to rare guitar artifacts looking at her other item lists. To be honest though if I had a beat up WEM player with a frayed hole in the grill cloth, stained and baggy, I might buy a bit and fit it, with some black cloth behind it, until some real cloth came along. £80 is expensive, but if that is what it was fetching before can't blame her for asking that. And factor that into the value a 4x12 with 4 Crescendos, just keep the original cloth. Like everything on Ebay, just takes one inflated sale then all future auctions reflect that. Hiwatt pa amps being a prime example, 18 months ago people were realising 200-300 GBPs, then one crazy auction, and they all list at 600GBP start now.

Yes I know Dr H, I depricate the whole lot of them too, just thought I would offer up a different perspective, one that I have reviewed and moved back towards my actual feelings on the subject due to the fact that for reasons unknown, a second cloth listing, all the effects pedals, guitar etc have disappeared from the sellers listings.
